The Bed and Breakfast La Rêverie (Pornic) has been selected as the most beautiful guest house in France 2019 by the Gîtes de France label.
Refined atmosphere, decoration filled with softness, terrace and swimming pool in a relaxing setting, this house reflects good taste! The architecture and its architectural codes underline the seaside spirit of Pornic from the end of the 19th century, in contemporary comfort with refined spaces.

The Hotel-Restaurant Anne de Bretagne (La Plaine-sur-Mer) is a triple award-winner: Chef Mathieu Guibert has kept hold of the restaurant’s 2 Michelin Stars, Head Waiter Claire Bâcle scooped the 2019 Service Prize awarded by the magazine “Le Chef” and pastry chef Jérémie Bousseau won Gault & Millau France’s 2019 Pastry Chef Trophy. A score of accolades for a dedicated team with quality in their sights.

The 2 chefs at the Restaurant L’Ana’Gram (Pornic) – head chef Antonio Batista and pastry chef Julien Morlighem – also earned the title of Maîtres restaurateurs this year. Antonio likes to cook fresh local vegetables and prepare meat dishes, but his speciality is griddled fish, skin side down. Julien, who used to work as a pastry chef under French celebrity chef Cyril Lignac, gives precedence to rustling up traditional desserts with a personal twist: Apple tatin or Paris-Pornic, a Valrhona dark chocolate soufflé served with peanut ice cream. Their star dessert, the "bigoudène", is a religieuse (choux pastry dessert) made with salted caramel, with a sugar topping and syrup sponge in the hallmark blue colour of the Faïencerie de Pornic.

In Pornic, the restaurant Le Retz retained the title of Maître Restaurateur for its home-cooked fare in 2019. This is the only State-issued certification for catering professionals in France – and is awarded for 4 years. The chef’s skills and the restaurant’s high professional standards guarantee you a quality dining-out experience.

Nathalie and Stéphane Meurisse at the Restaurant Les salons de la Ferme aux Oies (Chaumes-en-Retz) have also been awarded the double title of Maîtres Restaurateurs for the quality of their fare, prepared on-site using fresh produce, as well as for their welcome and service in keeping with the applicable standards. Set up in the countryside, in a haven of greenery, their restaurant offers three services: on-site dining, catering for functions/events, and takeaway.

The quality of produce and skilled bakers at La Panetière des Hameaux (Pornic) have won it a first-time award from Gault & Millau. The breads are made exclusively from organic ingredients – local and fair trade as far as possible – and are guaranteed to be free from additives and preservatives. They are all sourdough breads, naturally leavened for a long time to develop all of the bread’s flavours, and are nutritionally superior. One of our favourite loaves is the wheatmeal with toasted sesame seeds, and the Petit Nicolas.

The Restaurant Marius (Pornic), meanwhile, has been singled out as a "Restaurant de Qualité" by the Collège Culinaire de France. Their values: "(…) Generosity, sharing, transparency, excellence, team spirit, family, respect, well-being. That’s why our priority is to uphold and safeguard our local know-how and French culinary heritage…”. 

Among other accolades, in the Michelin Guide: L’Artimon (La Bernerie-en-Retz) and L’Auberge de La Fontaine aux Bretons (Pornic) were both awarded the Bib Gourmand in 2019 for offering ‘good quality, good value cooking’. Meaning customers are treated to an enjoyable, affordable meal.
Le Belem (Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef / Tharon), run by Bruno Boucard, Maître restaurateur, scooped "The Plate" in 2019, another Michelin award recognising all restaurants that 'simply serve good food'. Almost as good as a star in a way!

Les Rhums de Ced’ (St-Hilaire-de-Chaléons)
is a globetrotter! San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2019, The Rum and Cachaca Masters 2019, German Rum Festival Berlin 2019, World Rum Awards 2019, IWSC London 2019, Spirits Selection at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles…the Ti Arrangés de Ced’ is a winner many times over and the Ti Punch hasn’t done too badly either! Congratulations!

Le Domaine du Sillon Côtier (Les Moutiers- en-Retz). Le Grolleau gris 2018 has been singled out by the Hachette Guide 2020, scooping 2 stars and a special mention: "A Grolleau Gris that has won over wine drinkers with its elegance and controlled punch. The spicy and floral bouquet also has hints of ripe fruit aromas (…)"

A bunch of awards for the Domaine de la Coche (Sainte-Pazanne)!
A winner at the Salon des Vins de Loire 2019- Angers, the Concours Général Agricole de Paris 2019, a gold-medallist at the Concours National des vins IGP 2019 (Montpellier), a gold- and bronze-medallist at the Concours des Vins du Val de Loire – Nantes 2019, a gold- and silver medallist in the Gilbert & Gaillard Guide 2019, and Guide Hachette-starred for French wines in 2020.
