Presentation

Take a look at the celebrities who were once seduced by the beauty of our resort on an "event" tour, accompanying Florence on a new theme every year from June to September.
GUIDED TOUR: ARTISTS FROM YESTERDAY TO PORNIC 2024 "A LOOK AT PORNIC CASTLE DURING THE 19TH CENTURY

Two centuries ago, in 1824, the emblematic medieval defensive edifice began its metamorphosis by undergoing the first phases of modern works on the site. This was followed by other developments that gave the castle the appearance we know today.
This visit is an opportunity to highlight the way in which painters, authors and photographers looked at Pornic castle in the 19th century, as it underwent a transformation into a seaside resort.

  • Registration required at the Office de Tourisme Intercommunal de Pornic.
  • Tickets on sale at all Destination Pornic Tourist Offices (La Bernerie-en-Retz, Les Moutiers-en-Retz, La Plaine-sur-Mer, Pornic, Préfailles, Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef and Villeneuve-en-Retz).
  • You can buy your ticket on our website by clicking on : Online booking.
  • This tour is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
  • Please bring comfortable shoes to use any stairs.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • This tour is not suitable for children.
  • The organizers reserve the right to cancel tours if the minimum number of participants is not reached 24 hours before the tour (minimum departure 5 paying participants).
  • Please arrive at the meeting point 5 min. before the tour begins.
