Litlle huts toes into the sea !
Before 1900 our fishers used a "carrelet" ( fishing net ) which hanging from long poles of chestnut wod, and may be disassembled and caried away, named "bois debout" (upright wood ) .In the past, these fishing huts on the coast of Jade had no cabin.
Nowadays, the construction of a footbridge makes it easily accessible at high tide. he fishing net enables to catch smelts,soles, sea basses ....
The coast between the beach of la Boutinardièe and of l'Etang counts about 50 fishing huts, which owners belong to association for the preservation of fishing huts of te coast de Jade.

The fisheries belong to private individuals, and are therefore private.
But some fishing huts can be rented at the tide .
