Presentation

Situated on the banks of the Acheneau River in Port-Saint-Père, the little port of La Morinière is a haven of tranquillity in a lush green landscape.
A little history:
Situated on a waterway leading to the Loire, it saw very active maritime traffic until the early 20th century.
The barges were used to load and unload cereals, fodder and wine, as well as importing local limestone and quicklime from Chalonnes.

Today, the port of La Morinière is the ideal starting point for a bucolic trip on the Acheneau, by pedalo, canoe or even electric boat...

Practicalities:
