Discover Lake Grand-Lieu, one of the most beautiful wetlands in Europe !
La Maison du Lac de Grand-Lieu invites you to dive into the secrets of the lake and wetlands, during a sensory, fun and immersive journey !

 
This unique space is dedicated to the discovery of one of the most beautiful wetlands in Loire-Atlantique and Europe : Lake Grand-Lieu! An environmental awareness center, La Maison du Lac de Grand-Lieu is aimed at a wide audience and acts in favor of the preservation and development of wetlands. Its new sensory, fun and immersive exhibitions place wonder and pleasure at the heart of the visiting experience!

The immersive visit : a journey in 3 stages (from 8 years old)
* The permanent exhibition - Sound and visual devices, manifesto film, models... The new scenography invites you to explore and manipulate, experiment and understand! Browsing this space helps you decipher Lake Grand-Lieu and, more broadly, the wetlands of Loire-Atlantique and around the world.
* The sound walk - The trail route, accompanied by a sound system, invites you to take a stroll and enjoy the emotion. The testimonies and anecdotes tell you the history of the landscapes crossed. From listening to observing, you take the time.
* The Pavilion - Place for poetry, the imagination and the sensory! From wet meadows to the open waters of the lake, including reed beds, you explore the lake and its different environments. The visit ends on the terrace, a privileged viewpoint over Lake Grand-Lieu, the birds of the reserve and their daily spectacle. A mediator accompanies you, binoculars are at your disposal: room for contemplation and wonder!

Shorter than the “immersive tour” and accessible to children under 8 years old, the “discovery tour” also allows you to discover the exhibitions and the Pavilion (without a sound tour).

During the school holidays, the menu expands !
Holidays are an opportunity to discover Lake Grand-Lieu in a different way! Enjoy special visits for families, workshops for young ones and thematic visits for older ones! Program available at maisondulacdegrandlieu.org.
