Explore the moving history of the Saint-Nazaire Pocket in an authentic Atlantic Wall Command Post in Batz Sur Mer. Dive into the past and explore various scenes from the Second World War.
Located in Batz Sur Mer, this authentic Atlantic Wall Command Post invites you to relive the poignant story of the Saint-Nazaire Pocket, the last area of France to be liberated on 11 May 1945. This 300 m² museum, spread over 5 levels, features reconstructed scenes that plunge visitors into the heart of this crucial period. Moving testimonies and historical details are presented for an immersive experience.

The site also offers free parking, a picnic area and a shop selling regional products, postcards, books and souvenirs. Please note that accessibility is limited, as the museum is housed in an authentic Second World War bunker which is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Small dogs are welcome in a bag or on a lead. For the best experience, we recommend visiting between 10am and 2pm, and after 4.30pm, from 15 July to 15 August.
