Come discover Anjou Beach, the southernmost beach in
Tharon-Plage
, on the border with the neighboring town of La
Plaine-sur-Mer
(Cormier Beach is right next to it).
It’s a
pleasant
sandy beach backed by a lush green
dune
, with a few traditional
fishing huts
adding a touch of local charm.
With your feet in the sand, you can admire Cormier Bay and the Green Rock, a popular spot for fishing for mussels and periwinkles.
What we love about this beach:
the ideal starting point for shore fishing on the rocks and finding cockles on the foreshore in the summer
nearby, the channel designated for water sports during the season
the spot for surfcasting
the perfect place to try skimboarding: a board sport similar to surfing, yet accessible to a wider audience. Skimboarding involves gliding on wet sand at low tide (known as the “flat”). You can also try “shore break,” which means surfing the small waves near the shore
the children’s
playground
located just above the beach on the Angel Esplanade
