Atlantic Kayak – Kayaking on the Acheneau in Port-Saint-Père
With family or friends, set off to explore one of the most beautiful waterways in the Pays de Retz, along the Acheneau, in a peaceful, natural setting. Just a stone’s throw from Nantes and the Côte de Jade, Atlantic Kayak offers nature activities suitable for everyone: touring kayaks, fishing boats or guided sunset trips.

✨ Self-guided or guided trips

The Atlantic Kayak team welcomes you and provides all the necessary equipment: kayaks, paddles, life jackets and advice before you set off. All you have to do is enjoy yourself!
Self-guided trips: paddle freely in a fishing kayak or touring kayak and choose the duration of your trip, at your own pace.

Guided trips:
- Sunset: every Tuesday during the season (maximum 16 people)
- Discover the flooded marsh: from January to April, weather permitting (maximum 10 people)

Available boats

Touring kayaks: perfect for a leisurely trip along the river, they allow you to explore the river at your own pace and observe the local wildlife in an unspoilt natural setting.
Fishing kayaks – paddle or electric motor: a speciality of Atlantic Kayak, these Old Town models are designed for stable and comfortable paddling.

- Paddle version: ideal for beginners.
- Propeller version (PDL): designed for sport fishing and enthusiasts who want to keep their hands free.

Two-seater canoes: comfortable and accessible, they are perfect for a first family outing or a trip for two.

Family activity
Suitable for children aged 5 and over in a two-seater canoe accompanied by an adult. Propeller-powered kayaks are for those aged 14 and over. The activity is suitable for beginners and regular paddlers alike.

Landscapes and wildlife
Discover the wildest part of the Acheneau and the marshes of Cheix-en-Retz. Spot herons, storks, swans and ducks whilst enjoying a moment of relaxation and unwinding.
