If a check is lost or stolen, take action immediately.

Contact your bank using one of the following methods:
  • By phone: Call your personal banker or your bank’s emergency number (available Monday through Friday during business hours)
  • Through your online banking portal: Most banks offer this online option, available 24 hours a day with expedited processing
  • At a branch: if possible, go directly to the branch


In France, if your bank is closed, you can call the National Call Center for Lost or Stolen Checks (CNACPV) - (service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
