The Eco Center of Chaumes-en-Retz can be visited ! Come and discover how a part of your waste is recycled into compost.

The visit begins with the fun and educational area, dedicated to the discovery of biodiversity and the functioning of the soil. Then follow the tour to understand how the plant works and discover the non-recoverable waste storage facility (ISDND).

It is composed of the following installations :

* A composting sorting unit for residual household waste and green waste to produce compost that meets the NFU 44-051 standard.

* A non-hazardous waste storage facility (ISDND) for the storage of refuse from the organic recovery unit.

* A reception building including an educational room and a meeting room for the activities of conferences, seminars organized by Pornic Agglo Pays de Retz and the Community of Communes Sud Estuaire.
  Outside the time of use for these activities, the room can be made available to communities and associations of the two territories that request it (contact the Community of Agglomeration Pornic Agglo Pays de Retz).

* An educational course to discover the site and its facilities, a way to educate the public to respect the environment.

Provide appropriate footwear, walk about 3km, provide appropriate clothing depending on the season.
