What is the "Water Refill Friendly"?


This tool helps you find nearby places where you can refill your water bottle. 💧

Led by the Breton start-up HOALI, which aims to remove barriers to the use of reusable water bottles, Loire-Atlantique Développement is supporting the roll-out of the #gourdefriendly project with the Tourist Offices, with the aim of reducing the impact of single-use beverage containers (bottles, cans, cups, etc.), but also in response to tourists’ expectations regarding responsible destinations.


Joining the #gourdefriendly movement means:
  • Helping to reduce the environmental impact of activities in the region and boosting its appeal,
  • Building closer relationships with visitors,
  • Taking advantage of opportunities to expand services for your customers,
  • Offering visibility to ambassadors by featuring their establishment on the www.gourdefriendly.green map,
  • Having the opportunity to join a network of establishments (over 1,500 across France) that collaborate on new services centred around the use of reusable water bottles.

Tourism professionals are stepping up
