The Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer festival committee invites you to a fun and festive day for the Saint John's Day celebrations! New this year: the craft market will be open from early morning.

On June 20, the town of Pornic will celebrate Saint John's Day, a traditional festival with multiple origins.

  A thousand-year-old heritage 

A symbol of the summer solstice, Saint John's Day has its roots in pagan rites celebrating the return of the sun and the fertility of the earth. Over the centuries, the festival has taken on Christian overtones, associating the light of fire with that of Saint John the Baptist.

Saint John's Day in Pornic is an invitation to share a unique and authentic moment, combining tradition and modernity. It is a friendly and festive celebration of the arrival of summer and the renewal of nature.
