Would you like to discover the mysteries of the castle during a special tour of the interior of this emblematic heritage of the city of Pornic ?
Follow Andréa or Florence, guides from the tourist office, who will open the doors for you.

Discover the history of its inhabitants who saved the old medieval fortress from ruin to transform it throughout the 19th century into a seaside castle.
The opportunity to cross different rooms of this medieval building transformed into a XIXth century residence which reveal themselves to you with family portraits: living room, dining room, library, without forgetting the rooms at the top of the tower which offer an impregnable view on the entrance of the ria and the Old Port.

Practical information:

Registration required at the Office de Tourisme Intercommunal de Pornic (no ticket office on site).
Tickets on sale at all Destination Pornic Tourist Offices (La Bernerie-en-Retz, Les Moutiers-en-Retz, La Plaine-sur-Mer, Pornic, Préfailles, Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef and Villeneuve-en-Retz).
You can buy your ticket on our website by clicking on : Online booking
Accessible only to children over 10.
This tour is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Please bring comfortable shoes to climb the stairs (about 50 steps).
Pets are not allowed.
Photos are permitted.
The castle is not heated, so please wrap up warm in winter.
The organizers reserve the right to cancel tours if the minimum number of participants is not reached 24 hours before the tour (minimum departure 5 paying participants).
Please arrive at the meeting point 5 min. before the tour begins.
Average duration 1h15 to 1h30.
