GUIDED TOUR : FROM THE MEDIEVAL FORTRESS TO THE SEASIDE CASTLE

Want to visit the interior of the castle of Pornic, this emblematic heritage of the city pornicaise ?
Follow Juliane, Eloise, Tom, ... who open its doors, weekends from mid-April, Wednesday to Sunday in May, June, September or October, and every day during the summer.
Discover the history of the old medieval fortress in ruins which was redesigned throughout the 19th century as a seaside castle.
The opportunity to cross different rooms of this medieval building transformed into a XIXth century residence that reveals itself to you : living room, dining room, library, without forgetting the rooms at the top of the tower that offer an unobstructed view on the entrance of the ria and the Old Port.
Themes : the castle during the 19th century, the Joubert-Bonnaire family, Gilles de Rais and Joan of Arc, the coats of arms of the owner families, the Wars of Religion and the Wars of the Vendée.

The visit is not suitable for children under 10 years old.
Average duration 50 minutes/1 hour, walking tour of the interior of the castle.
This visit is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Please bring comfortable shoes to climb the stairs (about 50 steps in all).
Animals are not allowed.
