An Ideal Setting for Sailing
The Bernerie-en-Retz Sailing Club is located on the large beach at La Bernerie-en-Retz, just a few kilometers south of Pornic and less than an hour from Nantes.
The club overlooks a sheltered 2-hectare body of water bordering the sea but protected from the open waves, making it a safe environment suitable for both beginners and experienced sailors.

Activities & Equipment Offered
The club, managed by the Société des Régates de la Bernerie (SRB)—affiliated with FFVoile and accredited by the Ministry of Sports—offers a wide variety of water sports:

Lightweight sailing: Optimist, Laser Pico, catamarans (Catsy, S12, RS14, HC16…), windsurfing for beginners or those looking to improve.
Kayaking & stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) for leisurely or active outings.
Beach sailing on the beach for a change of pace and to try your hand at gliding across the sand.
Wing-foil: a new activity offered as private lessons or rentals depending on your skill level.
Windsurfing: rentals and lessons to get some fresh air on the water

Several options available: classes, camps (during school breaks), rentals, open-water sailing, and private lessons tailored to your preferences. S.R.B.

Supervision, Safety & Comfort
Supervised by a qualified team, you’ll have access to modern equipment, changing rooms, restrooms, and showers, as well as a comprehensive safety system. The club also offers equipment adapted to accommodate people with disabilities.

Hours
Here are the club’s general opening hours (depending on the season):

Outside of school breaks: Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
School breaks (spring and fall): Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
School breaks (summer): Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. & 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
