Located just a stone’s throw from Pornic Castle, La Dolce Vita invites you to enjoy a gourmet interlude with an Italian flair. Inspired by the Italian way of life, the restaurant celebrates life’s simple pleasures: sharing a good meal, savouring the moment, and coming together over generous, authentic cuisine.

La Dolce Vita enjoys a prime location in the town centre, right next to Pornic’s iconic landmarks. The restaurant also has a pleasant surprise in store for its guests with a lush garden at the rear, a true haven of calm, perfect for a peaceful lunch or dinner on sunny days.

Authentic, home-made Italian cuisine
In the kitchen, an Italian chef from Verona, with 37 years’ experience and a rich international background, offers a menu inspired by the great Italian culinary traditions.
Signature pizzas, antipasti, Italian specialities, home-made pasta and ravioli, not to mention indulgent desserts: every dish is prepared entirely on site, with care and passion.

The restaurant prioritises the use of fresh, high-quality produce, sourced from Italian and local suppliers, in a spirit of trust and authenticity.

 A place steeped in history for the people of Pornic and a family venture
Opening in late 2025, La Dolce Vita is part of the history of an iconic venue for Italian dining in Pornic. 
Over the years, this well-known establishment has gone by various names: La Main à la Pâte, La Galère Romaine, and then Le Jardin à l’Italienne.
The manager, originally from Pornic, has known this restaurant for several decades. For Marjorie, it was actually the first restaurant she ever visited 24 years ago, and she has fond memories of La Galère Romaine and the Briand family who ran it at the time.

La Dolce Vita is now run by a family: parents and two sons, driven by a shared passion for gastronomy and travel.
One of the sons is a professional chef, with several seasons’ experience, notably in Corsica. The mother, who comes from the tourism sector, contributes to the quality of the welcome and the sense of service, which are essential to the customer experience.

 Italian specialities, pizzas and Apulian burrata
The homemade pizzas are one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, featuring sometimes daring combinations that pleasantly surprise the taste buds.
Among the star products, Apulian burrata is available in both savoury and sweet versions, alongside classic Italian dishes.

 Spritz bar and Italian wines
La Dolce Vita also features a Spritz bar, offering 15 variations of this iconic cocktail.
The wine list showcases Italy through a representative selection of its major wine-growing regions, ideal for pairing with the dishes on offer.

La Dolce Vita offers visitors and locals alike a genuine taste of Italy right in the heart of Pornic, combining authentic cuisine, a pleasant setting and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to discover for a moment of shared enjoyment and culinary delight.
