In Pornic, La Kaz takes you on a journey with Creole flair, featuring the aromas of spices, hearty cuisine, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. In Creole, “La Kaz” means “home”a name that perfectly captures the spirit of the place, designed as a cozy spot where people come to share a delicious meal cooked over an open fire.

A setting that transports you to the Indian Ocean
The Creole and Indian Ocean influences are evident both on the plate and in the decor. Large wooden structures, shutters, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows evoke Mauritian architecture and give La Kaz restaurant an exotic atmosphere.

Spices, charcoal, and flavors that take you on a journey
Creole specialties take center stage, with hearty dishes where spices meet the flavors of the grill:
  • reunionese bouchons,
  • smoked chicken,
  • sausage rougail,
  • creole grilled meats.
Here, meats are cooked over charcoal and a wood fire, giving each bite a unique character.

Two chefs, a thousand flavors from around the world
This cuisine is brought to life by two chefs with complementary influences. Manu, who worked in Madagascar, is well-versed in the flavors of the Indian Ocean, while Moinul, of Pakistani origin, brings his expertise in spices and bold, flavorful dishes. A meeting of cultures that enriches La Kaz’s cuisine and gives it its own distinct identity.

La Kaz’s flavors are now available at the office, too
And to enjoy these flavors outside the restaurant, La Kaz also offers meal platters for businesses, delivered Monday through Saturday for orders of 6 or more platters. Delivery is free within a 2-kilometer radius and available beyond that for an additional fee.
