OLD TOWN HALL OF BOURGNEUF
Presentation
Located in the heart of the town of Bourgneuf, the building of the former town hall was built after the French revolution; its date of construction is inscribed at the top of its pediment: 1868. Its facade is still preserved today, but the municipal services are located a few steps away.
Near the town hall is the main square of the village. Over the centuries, this square, the main witness to events in local history, changes its name; in turn, it is called "town square", "public square", "place of arms", "place of equality", "place of the federation" or in 1793, "place of freedom "after the French revolution.
