Tara Beach in La Plaine-sur-Mer is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the magnificent views.  You can admire the horizon and the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean stretching as far as the eye can see.
Before you lies an idyllic scene, complete with sailboats, seagulls and people seashore fishing. Further away, you can see the Saint-Nazaire bridge and the wind farms.  

The view is particularly magical at sunset. The sky is ablaze with shades of orange and red, while the sea sparkles with shimmering reflections.

Located on Pointe Béduni, at the southern tip of La Tara, the orientation table is a valuable educational tool that allows visitors to discover the landscapes and history of these places.
It consists of a map showing the names of important places, paying tribute to different themes: the history of the Pays de Retz, navigation in the estuary, shipbuilding, major shipwrecks, marine cultures, beaches, etc.

  How to get to La Tara without using a car:

•     on foot, via the coastal footpath
•     by bicycle, via the La Vélodyssée cycle route
•     in July and August, via the free summer shuttle bus 

   Tips for making the most of your visit:

•     if you come by car, you can take advantage of the free car park nearby
•     enjoy a snack or a meal in the nearby restaurant
•     public toilets are located nearby
