The SPA – Pornic Shelter – Saint-Père en Retz

🐶 Since 1845, the SPA has been working to protect and promote the welfare of animals throughout France.

It carries out a wide range of activities:
  • taking in abandoned and abused animals and finding them new homes, 
  • defending animals in distress, 
  • raising public awareness of animal welfare, particularly among younger generations and communities...

🐱 Through its rescues in the field and its awareness-raising activities, the SPA acts on both the causes and the consequences of animal abandonment and abuse in order to eradicate these practices.
