Come and relax on this beautiful sandy beach and discover how it got its name !
This renowned beach is ideally situated just a few metres from the shops, restaurants and the famous
carousel and Baroque-style merry-go-round
in the small seaside resort of Tharon-Plage. This means you can make the most of all the resort’s attractions on your way back from a swim!
Whether you’re strolling along the seafront or relaxing on your towel, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of a string of fishing huts, including the famous "blue fishing hut". You can swim safely at high tide, and if you fancy it at low tide, you can have a spot of fishing on the ‘green rock’, renowned for yielding periwinkles, mussels and oysters…
A little secret :
La Source beach also holds a precious secret that you’ll only discover once you’ve made your way down to the beach…
But we’ll let you in on a little more!…
In fact, it owes its name to the presence of a spring of drinking water situated below the road and the beach access. The water’s quality is well established (it’s regularly tested, in fact), making it a very popular spot in both winter and summer, where people come to fill up their jerrycans and bottles all year round! So? Fancy a drink? Don’t wait any longer!
