Located in the heart of the Sainte-Pazanne countryside, the Etang de la Beusse is an ideal spot for a stroll from spring to early autumn.
Did you know?
The pond was created in the 90s as a water reserve to irrigate crops in the event of drought... And yes, even back then, water was a real concern!
The 13-hectare site is a veritable green lung in the middle of the countryside...
It is fed throughout the year by small streams, including the freshwater stream, and very rarely runs dry...

3 good reasons to discover the site:
- When the winter rains are over, the path around the riverbank is once again accessible for walking. The route is flat and makes a loop of around 4km. For the more experienced, there is also the Circuit de la Beusse, an 8.3km loop.
- The riverbank has been left untouched, with its flora and fauna preserved. - Most of the site is shaded, making it ideal for walkers and families looking for a relaxing and refreshing outing.

Practicalities?
- The lake is accessible from the road between Sainte-Pazanne and Fresnay-en-Retz, by taking the dead-end road signposted "Étang de la Beusse, aire de pique-nique".
- There is a natural, hard-standing car park.
- There is a small picnic table on site.
