Musée de France, Le Daviaud is the nerve center of the Marais Breton in Vendée. It plunges you into the heart of an exceptional natural area with a unique culture, rich heritage and remarkable biodiversity.

The Marais Breton in Vendée reveals all its secrets, with collectors' items, films, multimedia displays, children's trails and the words of its inhabitants! Come and meet the people, past and present, who have shaped this territory, and discover the full potential of its resources, culture and architecture...Along an outdoor trail comprising a series of buildings, stroll through the heart of a preserved landscape, and join our passionate team for:-Tours of the salt marsh, the bourrines (traditional dwellings), the farm...

Demonstrations of traditional skills: trolle making, yole handling, ningle jumping, horse-riding...
Workshops on traditional music and dance, butter-making, basketry, wool spinning...
Encounters with all the species at the conservatory of ancient domestic breeds: sheep, ducks, cows, horses, chickens, pigs...

Listen to the voices of the people who bring the site to life, and join them in preserving this unique natural space and the culture of market gardening!

Picnic facilities on site. Catering on site in July and August. Length of visit: from a minimum of 2 hours to a full day. Last admission: 2 hours before site closes. Open on public holidays during the opening period. Open to groups and schools all year round (by reservation). Access by reservation by telephone or via online ticketing on the website. Animals not admitted.
