Let yourself be transported to the heart of the white country! An immersion in a natural space where land and sea deliver their most beautiful treasures to you.
Leaving from La Turballe, take the little train to the Guérande salt marshes and discover the land of white gold...

On the programme for your tour:
  • Embark on a journey to the heart of 1,800 hectares of salt marshes, an enchanting landscape where each plot tells a thousand-year-old story. Admire this exceptional landscape and discover the essential role played by salt in this town, listed as a Town of Art and History.
  •  You will then cross the salt marshes, which have been awarded the ‘Site Remarquable du Goût’ (Outstanding Taste Site) label, where at least five salt works dating back to the Carolingian era are still in operation. In this grandiose landscape, you can admire the salt pans, which fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, and succumb to their incredible changing colours.
    In season, a salt worker will tell you all about the salt harvest before the little train sets off for other horizons.
  • Continue on to the bay of Le Croisic and the "pointe de Pen Bron", a jewel in the crown, classified as a natural area of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest and offering an exceptional panorama. You'll cross the beaches and, on a clear day, you'll be able to see the islands.
  • To round off this walk in style: the village of La Turballe and its fishing port!

A trip around the salt marshes on the little train offers two advantages:
  • it's a fun way to get around and it's also environmentally friendly.
  • Thanks to its capacity to carry up to 60 people at a time, the little train not only reduces the carbon footprint by limiting the number of individual vehicles, it also offers a friendly and entertaining experience for passengers, while preserving the fragile environment of the salt marshes.
