To make the most of this view, climb the footbridge at Port du Collet. You'll be able to admire the panorama more fully 
  • On the sea side: face the Bay of Bourgneuf and the Island of Noirmoutier. At low tide, you'll discover a lunar landscape of sensational calm. 
  • On the land side: face the expanse of the Breton marshes and the many birds that inhabit them. 

A pretty fishing and yachting port at the head of the Baie de Bourgneuf, at the mouth of the Falleron and the Marais Breton, the port of Le Collet is reminiscent of the port of Le Bec, 15km away in the Vendée.

The wooden pontoons, some of which are 2 storeys high, and the colourful fishermen's huts along the quayside add a great deal of charm to the area.
