The Hirondelle association, created in 1995, raises awareness and takes action in favor of living things. More than just an association, Hirondelle is a true community, bringing together passionate volunteers and local players committed to the preservation of Pays de Retz.
In 2025, Hirondelle will celebrate 30 years of nature discoveries in Pays de Retz: seaside outings, birds, flora, mushrooms... are offered throughout the seasons as well as workshops and events.

Hirondelle offers a wide range of activities for all ages and tastes.

⭢ nature outings supervised by experienced guides enable you to discover the local flora and fauna, whether on the coast, in the marshes or in the woods.
⭢ educational workshops and fun activities raise children's awareness of the importance of preserving biodiversity.
⭢ conferences and film screenings help visitors deepen their knowledge of a variety of environmental themes.

A strong commitment to protecting nature
The Hirondelle association doesn't just organize outings and events. It also makes a concrete commitment to protecting nature, through actions to conserve and restore natural habitats. The association is also involved in scientific monitoring and surveillance programs for endangered species.

Local roots and a dynamic association
Hirondelle is firmly rooted in the Pornic and Pays de Retz area. It works with many local players, including local authorities, environmental associations and schools. The association is also open to all volunteers wishing to get involved in its actions.
