Presentation

‘La vie parisienne’ by Les Tréteaux de Pornic

What’s on

Discover Jacques Offenbach’s *La vie parisienne*, a joyful and sparkling work adapted and directed by Nadine Arnaud-Drouelle.

The story: Two young men, Gardefeu and Bobinet, are out to seduce and have fun in this mad society. Upon their arrival in the capital, a wealthy Swedish couple dream of discovering the famous Parisian high society… and they’re prepared to do anything! Our two friends take it upon themselves to show them a Paris that is extravagant and impressive in its luxury and entertainment.

Amidst misunderstandings, balls, dinners, costumes and colourful characters, the audience is swept up in a whirlwind of festivities, lies and music. A satirical yet affectionate portrait of this ‘Vie Parisienne’ so adored around the world, where the party begins and ends with a wild cancan!
