5th edition of the Pornic Water Sports Festival at the Port de la Noëveillard   
   What's on

The Pornic Water Sports Festival celebrates the special bond between the town and the ocean through a weekend of activities, socialising and festivities at the harbour and Noëveillard beach.
  • Highlights and patrons:
    • Special appearances by patrons Charline Picon and Émile Amoros throughout the weekend for talks (‘Olympic Journeys and Values’, ‘Mental Preparation’), book signings and event launches.
    • Friday: Opening talk at the Casino de la Ria (7.00 pm).
    • Saturday: Musical opening of the festival village with the Municipal Music School, a symbolic wingfoil race start, prize-giving ceremony and the Festival Guinguette featuring a concert by the band Fire Roots from 7.00 pm (refreshments and food available on site).
    • Sunday: Beach clean-up with Surfrider (9.30 am), charity paddleboard rally in aid of the SNSM attended by Émile Amoros, concerts by the Karma Boom sextet and sea shanties with Jad’Hisse.
  • Demonstrations and shows:
    • Regattas and challenges in wingfoil, rowing, catamarans, Optimists and J80s.
    • Spectacular sea rescue demonstrations with the SNSM, rescue dogs and water rescue (Pornic Natation).
    • Radio-controlled sailing races (CDV 44) and Mini Ji races.
  • Introductory sessions and first-time experiences (open to all):
    • Sea kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking, towed foiling, skimboarding, and lure fishing or sea fishing.
    •  Accessibility-focused activities, including Handivoile sessions (Mini Ji, Hansa, Kaidoz and catamarans with Tiralo).
  • Festival village and tours:
    • The village and its stalls (SNSM, Cale de l’île, fishing simulator, ecology workshops, etc.) open at 11.00 am on Saturday and Sunday.
    • Guided tours of heritage vessels (traditional rigs: St Michel II, Pilikant), racing yachts (49er, Figaro Bénéteau 3, Sun Fast 3200), the patrol boat and the Noëveillard Lighthouse, as well as commercial fishing boats.

  • Venue: festival village set up at the car park entrance
  • Admission: free
  • Please note: the event programme may be subject to change depending on weather conditions
  • How to book:
    • On site, at the village reception chalet (subject to availability).
    • By booking with the partners for certain specific activities (e.g. sea kayaking at the Club Nautique on 02 40 82 34 72; children’s fishing on 06 30 88 42 53). A parent or guardian must be present to register minors.
    • Water sports for people with reduced mobility: dedicated booking on 02 40 82 34 34.
  • Recommendations: Proof of swimming ability is compulsory for water sports (authorisation to be signed on site). Clothing suitable for water sports is recommended (changing rooms available). Equipment provided. Minimum age of 7 for group sailing trips.
  • Catering and special offers: Enjoy a €3.50 discount per person (on orders of at least €20) at partner restaurants in the Port de la Noëveillard (Bernie Café, Côte et Plage, Skipper, Casa d’Hernesto, Les Pontons, Ty’Zola, Bout du Monde). Discount vouchers available at the village reception chalet (offer valid in conjunction with the Évasion 3 cruise boat).
