Discover part of the Haute-Perche canal in Pornic with this route accessible to all.
 
The Haute-Perche canal meanders from Chaumes-en-Retz towards the port of Pornic.
This river, called the canal, was once used by boats, barges and small barges transporting various goods between the sea and the rural heart of the Pays de Retz (wood, tiles, fertilizers, wines, etc.).
The "Canal de Haute-Perche" circuit (11.3 km) starts from Val Saint-Martin and then follows the canal. On your way, you will notably discover a municipal fishery and an imposing block of stone which bears the name of Rocher Sainte-Hélène...
It is just after, in the direction of the Pont du clion (or from it) that the circuit becomes accessible to all. Count 5 km of loop ride to appreciate the natural riches of this waterway.
