In the footsteps of the mills at Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef 
Embark on a fascinating journey through time and discover the remains of the mills at Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef, witnesses to a rich industrial and agricultural past. This tour takes you on a bucolic stroll along the coast and through the surrounding countryside. 
As you stroll along, you'll discover the remains of the mills that once punctuated village life. Most of them lost their wings during the Revolution and ceased trading at the turn of the century. 

Along the way, you'll admire :
  • Exceptional panoramic views : From the Moulin de la Sicaudais, enjoy an uninterrupted view of the Boivre valley and the Saint-Nazaire bridge. 
  • A variety of landscapes : lush green marshes, steep coastal paths and peaceful hedged farmland all provide an idyllic backdrop for your exploration. 
  • A rich heritage : As well as windmills, you'll discover menhirs, dolmens and the remains of ancient settlements. 
  • Numerous localities have kept the name of the mill that once stood there, including Moulin de la Vierge and Moulin des Landes.
 
Don't forget : this route is also accessible by bike , except on the beach and certain coastal paths.
