Delve into the heart of French and regional history with this fascinating lecture dedicated to the Edict of Nantes. Organized by Pornic Histoire and led by historian Guy Saupin, this event will examine the founding document signed by Henry IV on April 30, 1598.

During this evening, you will discover:

Behind the scenes of the negotiations: How this peace ended 36 years of civil war between Catholics and Protestants.
The local impact: Why the signing of the edict transformed the destiny of Nantes, between the reduction of its privileges and the commercial boom of the Atlantic coast.
