Maintained every year, the site offers easy access, plenty of shade and a natural environment rich in animal species.
The Etang des Gâtineaux is a drinking water reserve located in Saint-Michel Chef-Chef and managed by the association "La Gaule Tharonnaise" under the protection of the SIVOM.
There are no fewer than 48 hectares of fish-filled water available for you to fish in !

Regularly stocked with fish, there are many species of fish to be found :
  • carnivorous fish : pike, perch, pike-perch
  • a variety of cyprins : roach, rotengles, bream and carp.

All are waiting for your lines to test their strength !

A "La Gaule Tharonnaise" card is compulsory (private lake) :
  • an annual card, sold for the calendar year or for the period from the reopening of the carnivorous fish on 20 April to 31 December.
  • a fortnightly pass
  • a weekly pass
  • a day pass.
 
This card is personal. However, a spouse or children under 16 may use one of the 4 authorised lines. Please note : from 1 February to 20 April 2024, only white fish may be fished.
