Presentation

A heritage interpretation trail is available in the lower town, with interpretation panels and a digital application.

This heritage interpretation trail is made up of six explanatory panels installed at emblematic sites in the lower town, revealing the history of this harbour.

These metal supports are located :

Place Petit Nice (along the wall next to the footbridge)
in the Sables district, on Rue de la Marine near the Salle de la Marine
on Place du Môle
on the Esplanade de la Ria
on Quai l’Herminier (opposite the Minoterie)
and at the end of Quai l’Herminier (opposite the Môle).

Each panel includes illustrations, old photographs, commentary and a mini-game.

The reading table at the Place Petit Nice and Quai l’Herminier offers an exceptional view of the lower town with commentary. It is made up of commented landmarks to help you better understand the harbour landscape.

A parallel tour is also available on the Archistoire application, with interactive content.
The aim of this hybrid reality digital tour is to give everyone a chance to understand the lower town through an immersive experience.
Old photographs, reconstructions and characters bring the past to life.
The application highlights elements of interest and reveals hidden or lost details. The historical commentaries are accompanied by short games. Up to 1 hour of discovery.
Nails are fixed to the ground corresponding to the 9 stations of this mobile application.
