The beach all to yourself

In autumn, the beaches, frequented by a few regular walkers and serenaded by the cries of seagulls and cormorants, reveal their vast horizons. In September, the coast regains its wild state…

In boots and a raincoat, let go to the sound of the waves and savor these precious moments on the beaches of Destination Pornic.

Indian summer, the ideal time to :

  • fly a kite at Noëveillard beach (Pornic)
  • take long walks with your feet in the water at the Grande Plage in La Bernerie-en-Retz
  • put on your wetsuit and participate in a coastal walking session at Tharon-Plage (Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef)
  • take out your surfboard or paddleboard and head out to meet the ocean at Gohaud (Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef)

The Pierced Rock as you've never seen it before

Enjoy the vibrant colors of autumn and admire its breathtaking sunsets! We're lucky, there's no need to stay up too late at this time of year.

Our must-see site in autumn ? The Pierced Rock in Préfailles.

Reminiscent of an elephant because of its shape, the Pierced Rock is a fascinating sight to discover in every season, at high tide, low tide, and at any time of day.

We love : contemplating it in the late afternoon of autumn. It's at this time of year that the sun plays hide-and-seek with the hollow of the rock.
