A captivating immersion into regional history through the prism of glass art.

The BuLd'ArT association invites you to discover a unique conference entitled “The War in the Vendée through Stained Glass,” led by Pascal Bouchard, Master Glassmaker.

Between 1793 and 1796, the Wars of the Vendée left their mark on the region through five key moments and legendary figures from the “White” army. At the end of the 19th century, this heritage found a unique artistic expression: master glassmakers from Angers created exceptional commemorative art, which can now be seen in many churches, castles, and private chapels.

Through the eyes of an expert, come and decipher these works of light commissioned by the population of the time, which pay tribute to the rebel leaders while bearing witness to the religious fervor of yesteryear.
