Mati's workshop

L'Atelier de Mati exhibits the artist's colourful paintings on the picturesque port of Le Collet in Les Moutiers-en-Retz.

Mati, a professional painter, has been displaying her talent here for over 15 years, welcoming the curious, amateurs and collectors into her colourful world.

Who is Mati?
A lover of the sea and the Atlantic coastline, she chose to set up her studio here, in the Port du Collet. The changing light of this bay, between sea and countryside, inspires her creativity. The Pays de Retz, the cradle of her childhood and her heart, is reflected in each of her works.

Mati's paintings :
Under moving skies, Mati expresses the magic of the place through her canvases. In her "Littoral" series, she plays with gradations of colour, from gradual glows of red to yellows subtly mixed with English green. Her brushes capture the soul of the salt marshes, fisheries and port piers. Each painting tells a story, vibrating to the rhythm of the Atlantic winds and tides.
