Circuit 2 / The Gourmalon district (Pornic) : villas, chalets and kiosks by the sea
1. The train station
The arrival of the railway line in 1875 promotes the development of the seaside resort and the development of the Gourmalon district. The tourist office is located in the former luggage storage at the station.
 
2. The Source Beach
Built in 1885, the building overlooking the beach was originally the Casino de Gourmalon and after a campsite took place. But, since 1990, the building has been integrated into the Thalasso- Therapy complex in Pornic.
 
3. The Source of Malmy
The notoriety of the salt-iron source of Malmy dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. Its use for medical purposes was gradually abandoned in favor of sea bathing at the end of the 19th century.
 
4. The Gourmalon's chapel
Inaugurated in 1910, it was built by donors attached to Gourmalon to provide a place of worship to the district independent of Pornic.
 
5. Seaside villas
Under lush vegetation, the eclectic architecture of the villas aspires to many styles, while retaining common decorative elements: valances, balconies, woodwork, briquettes, gazebos ...
 
6. View of the port and the upper town
