Presentation

 The 14th edition of this program, recognized by the CPIE network, “Welcome to My Natural Garden,” which allows amateur gardeners to share their environmentally friendly gardening practices with the public   

What's on

Immerse yourself in biodiversity for a weekend! The Mémoire Fruitière en Pays de Retz association invites you to visit its 3,400-square-meter municipal orchard, which was started by 200 schoolchildren from Pornic.

Designed as a future edible forest, this unique educational site is home to 150 fruit varieties and 350 shrubs, all grown without any chemical inputs. Come chat with passionate volunteers about natural gardening and discover innovative techniques:
  • Multi-layered fruit hedges (Evelyne Leterme method) for a self-sustaining orchard.
  • Regenerative hydrology (Samuel Bonvoisin method) with a network of retention basins and ponds holding $305\text{ m}^3$ of rainwater for 100% natural irrigation.


A wonderful opportunity, open to everyone, to reconnect with nature in a warm and friendly atmosphere!

  • Please note: There will be a lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (self-guided tours are available during this time)
  • Pets: Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a leash (subject to on-site approval)
