Planète Sauvage is a zoo located in Port-Saint-Père (Loire-Atlantique, 44710), south-west of Nantes. Ideal for a family day out, it covers more than 85 hectares and is home to over 1,000 animals representing around 100 species from all five continents.
The park’s signature attraction is its Safari Trail, the longest in France. Visitors can explore this area by car or on a guided 4x4 tour (optional), travelling through some fifteen open plains where lions, giraffes, rhinos, tigers, bears and hippos roam in semi-freedom.
The pedestrian area features 5 immersive zones, including the Cité Marine: Planète Sauvage is the last wildlife park in France to house dolphins Unique in France: discover the dolphins during educational shows, but also underwater, thanks to an immersive underwater gallery 5 metres below the surface.
Planète Sauvage fulfils four fundamental missions: animal welfare, species conservation, education and scientific research. The park participates in over 30 European conservation programmes, is home to more than 40 endangered species and collaborates with scientific institutions worldwide through its research department, CREAS.
Themed lodges, unique accommodation experiences, dolphin encounters or 4x4 adventures: the park offers experiences suitable for all ages and is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
