Let’s take action to protect our coastline!

Every year, thousands of cigarette butts end up on the ground and in the ocean, with a single butt capable of polluting up to 500 liters of water. In light of this, the Hirondelle Association invites you to take part in a friendly, hands-on community initiative to help protect our environment.

This day features two main events open to everyone:
  • The Mégothon: a large-scale, community-driven initiative to collect cigarette butts and clean up our city and coastline.
  • The participatory art workshop: a creative space to raise public awareness through art. Come create a socially conscious poster (A3 size) using themed stencils or customize your own T-shirt to take home a unique souvenir of the day!  

Residents, visitors, young and old: bring gloves, a positive attitude, and a spirit of solidarity. Join us to take concrete action for the planet!

  • Audience: open to everyone (residents, visitors, families, and friends)
  • What to bring: bring your own T-shirt if you’d like to customize it during the stencil workshop. Gloves for cleanup are provided
