Proposal 1 – Meeting at the farm
Are you on vacation with us ? What luck !
If you want an activity other than swimming at the beach and meeting new people away from the crowds, become a farmer for the time of a visit.
Go back to basics ! Caress the farm animals, take part in educational workshops or attend the feeding of the animals. Want to taste the products from here and learn to recognize herbs and medicinal plants...
Then go to the farm !

The farms in Destination Pornic open their doors to you :

* At the Puillière educational farm, on the edge of the Acheneau marshes in Port-Saint-Père, Ewen and Gwénaël are “organic”! In a friendly and informative atmosphere, you can bring the herd of goats back to the farm, milk one by hand or watch the milking machine, feed the pigs. Depending on the day, cheese is made there, wheat is turned into flour, blackberries or chestnuts are picked and much more...

* The Fresne educational farm is located in Villeneuve-en-Retz, in the heart of the Marais Breton Vendéen, south of Pornic. Here, Jean-Paul has the pleasure of putting the living world back at the heart of his existence.
His credo: “Learn from nature to better share it. »
His 4 challenges:
- preserve heritage species (marsh birds, black bees, Ouessant sheep),
- preserve the natural environment and ecosystems,
- support new market gardeners by providing land and infrastructure,
- educate young and old by offering workshops (on ancient seeds, permaculture, sanitation, medicinal plants, building nesting boxes, developing the senses, etc.).

* The Marais Champs farm in Villeneuve-en-Retz is on two terroirs, the marsh and the bocage. Stéphanie and Guylain have been raising dairy cows and pigs in organic farming for over 20 years. Organic and local, it's ideal !
The cows feed on fresh grass from the pastures and give good milk every day transformed into Tomme cheese and dairy products that will give you the taste of the Pays de Retz.
Do not hesitate if you want to discover cow milking.

* Maud's farm – The Flavors of the Orchard. Since 2015, in Chauvé, Maud has been working in accordance with the specifications of Organic Farming. It produces a wide variety of organic and seasonal fruits and vegetables throughout the year (sale at the farm and on the markets). Follow Maud during a visit "Around the profession of organic market gardening" for individuals or groups (by reservation directly with Maud).

Proposal 2 – Pick up your fruits and vegetables directly at the source

It is difficult to resist the call of good fruits and vegetables, very fresh, very juicy and seasonal of course !
And we can admit it, they are even better when they are picked or collected by us !
* To your baskets, pick ! The principle of free picking is simple: you have access to the entire vegetable farm (don't worry, a map and signs are provided). You can freely pick the different extra fresh and cheaper vegetables and fruits (no harvesting or transport costs…). Take the time, in a friendly atmosphere, with family or friends, at the "Picking of the Gros Caillou" in Pornic.

* Anne-claire grows berries: blackcurrants, raspberries, currants, goji berries, blueberries, aronias... You will find some of these fruits transformed in a traditional way into syrup. Tasting, sale on site but also free picking (on request) at the Petits Fruits de la Baie in La Bernerie-en-Retz.

On vacation, it's time to reconnect with nature.

Practical advice and our good plans :
* The little extra: for the little ones, start the discovery gently by visiting the "mini farm" of the La Fontaine eco-domain in Pornic. In the farmyard, sheep, pigs, geese, chickens and rabbits frolic and bring this place to life like the farms of yesteryear.
* The hassle of 5 fruits and vegetables a day with your children, you know? By visiting our local producers, success is guaranteed !
* You do not have the possibility of moving to our producers, find their stall on our markets.
