Destination Pornic certified beers

Craft beer lovers rejoice ! Let yourself be guided by our two local breweries, who carry on the brewing tradition with passion and expertise. Blonde, brown, red, amber or even IPA, you'll be spoilt for choice to accompany a meal or a malted aperitif with friends.

La Femme à Barbe

A dark beer
La Femme à Barbe begins with a deep brown, almost black colour, with mahogany highlights. A hoppy brown beer with a strong character, it reveals notes of roasted coffee mingling with aromas of dark chocolate and roasted hazelnut. Your senses and taste buds will be in raptures...
To enhance its flavours, serve it with rich, tasty dishes. Beef in a beer-based sauce, or a mature cheese would be perfect pairings, and to finish it off, a dark chocolate dessert.

La Brigantine Blonde

This is a pure malt lager with a delicate blend of aromatic hops and spices. Brewed using traditional Belgian methods and refermented in the bottle, the fruity notes are balanced with a hint of bitterness to delight even the most discerning palate. For a fresh lunch, it's the perfect accompaniment to seafood, bringing out its iodised flavour to perfection.

Our Paydret wines

3 wine estates, 64 hectares of vines, around twenty grape varieties, passionate winegrowers...
Renowned for their quality, you'll find among the great wines of Destination Pornic, the prestigious Muscadet Côte de Grandlieu PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and several Val de Loire-Pays de Retz PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) varieties such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon, as well as the rarer Grolleau Noir and Grolleau Gris.

Grolleau Gris, the emblematic white wine of Pays de Retz

This is a dry, fruity wine with a golden colour and salmon tints. It is supple and well-balanced on the palate, with fruity and exotic aromas on the nose. A perfect accompaniment to fish and shellfish
Domaine des Sylphes, Les Moutiers-en-Retz

La Salle aux Fées, a Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu sur lie White

This is the Muscadet closest to the ocean... It has fine, delicate, iodised aromas. This cuvée is also used to refine the famous Curé Nantais and is on the menu of the prestigious Anne de Bretagne restaurant (La Plaine-sur-Mer). This wine takes its name "La Salle aux Fées" from a dolmen next to the vines...
Domaine de la Coche, Sainte-Pazanne

Cabernet-sauvignon, a red wine from Pays de Retz, IGP Val de Loire

It is very colourful and has a spicy aroma. On the palate, the red fruits are very present. This is a full-bodied wine, rich in supple tannins, which lends itself nicely to ageing for 3 to 5 years. It is a perfect match for red meats and cheese

 Local spirits that inspire travel

For spirits lovers, we're not to be outdone! The region is home to passionate producers who create exceptional rums and liqueurs, using local produce and traditional know-how. These beverages, to be enjoyed in moderation, are a real treat when bottled in Destination Pornic or elsewhere...

Vin d'épines

More commonly known as Trouspinette among our neighbours in the Vendée, vin d'épines is made from local wine and wild black thorn. Its taste will certainly remind you of cherry pits mixed with bitter almonds. It is traditionally drunk as an aperitif, chilled or on the rocks, and goes perfectly with melon

Ti ced' mango rosemary bergamot

Head for the French West Indies... in Destination Pornic ! The combination of bergamot, mango and rosemary in a blend of agricultural rums from the French West Indies will take you on a journey. A traditional recipe that combines sweetness and freshness. The bergamot and rosemary deliver light, tangy notes, while the fresh cane-scented rum creates a beautiful alliance with the mango. We suggest you try it with roast cod flavoured with bergamot, garlic and rosemary: a sunny pairing you'll be telling us all about !
