Discover this
iconic heritage of the town of Pornic
from a new perspective, in the presence of the owner of this exceptional site. Meet the volunteers who are passionate about history and know-how, and committed to preserving the treasures that surround them. For one weekend, the castle comes alive in costume!
As it has done every year for over thirty years, the Association for the Preservation of Old Pornic (ASVP) is participating in the European Heritage Days at Pornic Castle.
🎪 Free admission to the castle's courtyards and gardens, with musical entertainment and exhibitors from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In the moat: a medieval market, activity stalls, and a coat-of-arms workshop for children are on the program for these days.
🏰 Paid guided tour of the castle's interior, available in French only (€5 for children over 10 to benefit the ASVP, free for children under 10), scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
The interior tour is limited to 20 people per group, with departures every 20 minutes, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
💃 Breton dances and sea shanties on Sunday afternoons.
Come dance and sing, and admire the choreography of the Pornic quadrille in period costume, organized by the Cercle Celtique de Pornic.
Many other activities around the castle are also offered to showcase the rich heritage of the site:
boats from the Coques en Bois association on the castle beach,
and vintage cars from the Auto-Rétro association in the parking lot of the Place du Château.
