The art walk in Pornic

For its 19th edition, the Pornic Art Walk invites you to an exclusive immersion into the heart of local creativity through two weekends of encounters and exchanges. This year, for the first time, the event is joining forces with the National Artists’ Days to celebrate the region’s artistic vitality.

• Open studio visits: come and meet 43 artists (including newcomers Viviane Bibaut and Sylvie Bourreau-Tirel) in 36 studios scattered throughout the town’s narrow streets. Painters, visual artists, engravers, photographers, sculptors, ceramicists and illustrators will open their doors to share their passions, their tools and their creative worlds.
• Choreographed strolls: as you make your way around, you’ll cross paths with the Impromptues: dressed in red and white, they bring the venues to life with dance performances that are sensitive, poetic and improvised.
• The highlight — Launch of the book featuring painters from the Pays de Retz: Saturday 26 September at 7.00 pm (Salle des Mariages at the Relais Saint-Gilles), attend the official launch of this exceptional volume, a gift from Olivier de Sainte Marie, bringing together original works by more than twenty local painters.
• Exhibitions to discover:
  • ‘Landscapes and Sea Baths’ by Arnaud Goisque (paintings and drawings) at the Salle de la Marine
  • ‘Uncertain Landscapes’, featuring works by Yves Alleaume, Jean-Pierre Pouyat and Isou Lecoq-Billaud at the Chapelle de l’Hôpital
  • ‘Diptych’ by the Pornic Photography Club (outdoor exhibition along the coastal path, Noëveillard cliff-top walk)
  • The Tourist Office’s summer exhibition on the Ria promenade, showcasing local photographers’ perspectives on the destination
