Tour of the canal de haute-perche

Fancy a nature break  to disconnect from everyday life and marvel at the authentic scenery? Then come and discover the walking and cycling trail along the Canal de Haute-Perche in Pornic !

A bucolic trail awaits you along this historic canal, once used for coastal shipping. Follow the picturesque footbridges, let yourself be guided along the shady paths and admire the rolling countryside.
As you stroll along, you'll discover the Haute-Perche river and its traditional fisheries, testimony to a rich maritime past. You'll be charmed by the surrounding farmland and hedged farmland, a haven of peace in which to recharge your batteries.
The walk continues along the banks of the Val Saint-Martin pond, an ideal spot for a family picnic or to observe the local flora and fauna.  

A 5km section of this trail is accessible to all. 

The little  : 
Meet Michèle MARTINO, a member of the Conseil des Sages, on a "Meet our enthusiasts" tour entitled "The river of Haute-Perche and its fisheries". A unique opportunity to discover the history and heritage of this magical place. ‍

 : a short to medium cycle route, with a few slightly technical sections, suitable for families (except very young children), rideable with a mountain bike or VTC.
