Explore Pointe Saint-Gildas : An enchanting coastal walk in Préfailles

Discover the Préfaillais coastline along the Pointe Saint-Gildas trail !

Admire the breathtaking scenery as you follow the wild coastline, punctuated by turquoise coves and majestic cliffs.
Take a stroll through the Regional Nature Reserve, a haven of peace home to unique flora and fauna.
Let yourself be charmed by the lovely seaside cottages, witnesses to a bygone era.

Stage 1: Head for Port aux Anes and La Prée !
Leave Pointe Saint-Gildas and its breathtaking panoramas behind, and take the path that leads to the hidden treasures of Port aux Anes and La Prée. Imagine your bare feet sinking into the fine sand, the melody of the waves lulling your ears and the iodised air intoxicating your senses. A real treat for nature lovers !

Stage 2: La Prée, a haven of peace
At La Prée, you'll be charmed by the peaceful atmosphere of this small village. Take a look at the pretty houses. Take the time to stroll through the narrow streets and savour this moment of tranquillity. ‍

Stage 3: Careful crossing and a new course !
Cross the D313 carefully, keeping your wits about you. On the other side, the Chemin des Fossettes awaits you to lead you to new discoveries. Don't forget to take a deep breath of fresh air before continuing your adventure! ️

Stage 4: A bucolic walk and an encounter with history ‍
Turn right into rue du Bois Roux, then left into rue Sainte-Anne. Let the birdsong guide you and admire the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Along the way, you may come across old houses steeped in history, witnesses to a rich past.

Stage 5: Head for the Chapelle and the Grande Plage ⛪️️
At the roundabout, turn right into rue du Dr Guépin, then left towards the chapel. Take a diversion to this place of spirituality to reflect and appreciate the peaceful architecture. Then head back down to the Grande Plage and get ready to be amazed!

Stage 6: Walk along the coast and savour the panorama !
Take the coastal path towards Pointe Saint-Gildas. Every step of the way, you'll be amazed by the panoramic views over the ocean. Imagine sailing along the blue waves, the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin. An unforgettable experience! ⛵️☀️

The small

: 1.5 km of the circuit is accessible to all and crosses the Regional Nature Reserve.
