Journey of the senses with wines and spirits produced in Destination Pornic
Sports activities, idleness on the beach, (more or less) balanced meals, country walks, cultural visits...
Here is a nice program but there are still many other little pleasures on vacation.
We will tell you to discover our wines and spirits.
If alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, the pleasure is endless...
Step 1
–
Visit our wine estates
The Moulin de la Touche
–
Villeneuve-en-Retz
The family vineyard of
Moulin de la Touche
dominates the Marais Breton Vendéen and the Bay of Bourgneuf, which gives it wines with iodized notes. The setting is privileged, surrounded by nature.
The estate produces AOP wines; Muscadet-sur-Lie and IGP Val de Loire wines. They are often rewarded. Labeled “Tourist cellars”, it is also certified “H.V.E. (High Environmental Value).
Visits by appointment only.
The domain of La Coche
–
Sainte-Pazanne
The
Domaine de La Coche
is a matter of cousins! Emmanuel and Laurent Guitteny, independent winegrowers, combine family wine tradition and recent techniques in their know-how.
Their flagship appellation is Muscadet Côtes de Grand Lieu, but they also give pride of place to local grape varieties: Grolleau, Grolleau gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon or Gamay. Their wines are frequently recognized for their quality in national and international competitions. Since 2020, this 37 ha estate has been converted to “Organic Agriculture” and labeled “Vignobles et Découvertes”. Visits by reservation.
The Sillon Côtier
–
Les Moutiers-en-Retz
The
Sillon Côtier
: discover a unique vineyard located between ocean, marshes and countryside! Cultivated on 15 hectares and labeled Terra Vitis (for sustainable viticulture), the vines are planted on the hillside overlooking the Bay of Bourgneuf. You will find the emblematic grape varieties of the Pays de Retz such as Grolleau gris, rosé and red, Cabernet-franc, Gros-Plant and Muscadet as well as other rarer grape varieties such as Abouriou, Pinot-gris or Chenin. Visits by reservation.
Step 2
–
Local spirits
Ced’ Rums
–
Saint-Hilaire-de-Chaléons
Anchored in the heart of the Pays de Retz between Nantes and Pornic, the
Rhums de Ced'
workshop offers real craftsmanship in the creation of rum punch.
Ti Ced' recipes offer a wide aromatic palette around three founding pillars: quality, originality and conviviality. The artisanal macerations are made by the bottle from fresh seasonal fruit and a blend of agricultural rums from Martinique and Guadeloupe.
The Ti Ced' are made from 100% natural ingredients : salted butter caramel pineapple, Mango Passion Fruit, Organic Apple Pear, Vanilla Macadamia... Ced' Rums are appreciated and are regularly rewarded in international competitions.
Go behind the scenes of the production of Ced' Rums during the open days organized each year in June.
